In the spring of 2019, the life of Michael Don Kelough, a 43-year-old man, was tragically cut short in Seminole County, Oklahoma. On April 2, 2019, Kelough was killed in a violent act that would later be described as a brutal murder. His death, which occurred near Wewoka, was the result of gun violence. At the time of his passing, he was a resident of McAlester, Oklahoma.
The investigation into Kelough's death quickly led law enforcement to two suspects, Coker Dean Barker, 34, and
Anastacia Phillina Little, 29. The pair were apprehended just two days after the incident as they attempted to cross the border into Mexico at a port of entry in Laredo, Texas. Their capture marked a significant breakthrough in the case, bringing a swift end to their flight from justice.
Following their arrest, both Barker and Little were charged with first-degree murder in connection with Michael Kelough's death. The charges were filed in Seminole County District Court, initiating the legal proceedings to hold them accountable for their alleged roles in the crime. The community was left to mourn the loss of a man who was remembered by a friend as always having a smile on his face and a good heart.
