Originally from Los Angeles, Rebecca Roman had been temporarily residing with a friend in Oklahoma City.
She was a mother to two children, Carla and Bella, and had been making plans to return to her home state to reunite with them. In fact, her friend had planned to take her to the bus station the day before the fatal shooting occurred.
During the same incident, a 30-year-old man named Marcus Oakes was also shot. He was transported to OU Medical Center where he received treatment for his injuries and survived. In the wake of the shooting, law enforcement launched an investigation into the homicide.
Despite the passage of time, no arrests have been made in the killing of Rebecca Roman, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in the case. The investigation remains ongoing as her family and friends continue to await justice for her untimely death.
