In the early hours of Sunday, September 29, 2019, the life of 20-year-old Marquez Pettit, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Officers responded to a call that led them to the vicinity of Southwest 27th Street and Prospect Avenue. There, they discovered Pettit, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
