On a tragic night in June of 2020, a young woman's life was cut short in a senseless act of violence. Twenty-five-year-old Nicosha Nelson, a Black female from Oklahoma City, had just returned to her residence at the Fairfax Apartments in Midwest City on June 16th. Shortly after she entered her apartment, an unknown individual fired a weapon into her window, striking her.
