In the early morning hours of November 1, 2020, tragedy struck at an event center in Oklahoma City, forever altering the lives of many. Kareem Sampleton, a 22-year-old Black male, was among a crowd at a large party in the 10600 block of South Western Avenue when a disturbance erupted into violence. An unknown individual fired multiple shots into the crowd, creating a scene of chaos and terror.

Three other individuals, identified as 25-year-old Traveon Boykins, 22-year-old Elijah Dean, and 21-year-old Dakota Hugh, also sustained injuries in the shooting but were expected to recover.
