In the early morning hours of August 6, 2022, a domestic dispute in an Oklahoma City home escalated into a tragedy that would claim the lives of three young children. Six-year-old Kyren Littlejohn, along with his sisters, four-year-old Aliyah and three-year-old Trinity, were fatally shot by their father, 30-year-old Francoise Littlejohn, in a horrific murder-suicide.
The devastating events began to unfold after the children's mother left the family home following a disagreement.
Upset by her departure, Francoise Littlejohn took the three children and left the residence in the family's SUV. Around 4:00 a.m., he began live-streaming on social media, making threats to harm the children. In the video, he was seen waving a gun, with one of the children visible in the front passenger seat. He explicitly stated his intention to kill them. A concerned relative who saw the live stream immediately contacted the police.
By the time authorities were notified, it was tragically too late. Surveillance footage from a neighborhood showed that just three minutes before the police were called, Francoise had parked the vehicle. It was in this quiet residential area that he carried out his threats, shooting his three children before turning the gun on himself.
Several hours later, at approximately 7:30 a.m., a jogger discovered the SUV and the four deceased family members inside and alerted the authorities. When investigators arrived, they found Francoise Littlejohn in the driver's seat with a cellphone and a gun in his lap. The community was left to mourn the senseless loss of three innocent lives, with a memorial of flowers, candles, and stuffed animals being placed near the scene.
