On November 20, 2022, Fang Hui Lin was working at a rural marijuana farm outside Hennessey, Oklahoma, when a dispute over money erupted into lethal violence. A male Chinese national of Asian descent, he was one of four workers at the isolated grow operation who would not survive the night, killed alongside three co-workers in what investigators would later describe as execution-style shootings.
