Riley W. Campbell, a 43-year-old Black/African American male, was working as a taxicab driver in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the spring of 1971. His life was cut short after he picked up a fare near North 11th Street and West Atkinson Avenue. During the course of the ride, an attempted robbery turned violent, and Campbell was shot by the passenger.
