Patrick Boden McCready, aged 43, tragically lost his life on March 10, 1991, in Fairchild, Wisconsin. McCready, who served as the Chief of Police in Fairchild, was responding to a domestic disturbance call when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred when McCready entered a darkened hallway, and the suspect, who was well-known to him, opened fire with a 30-06 rifle from a prone position.
