On a crisp autumn day in the woods near Birchwood, Wisconsin, the lives of a group of friends and family were irrevocably shattered. On November 21, 2004, Mark Roidt, a 28-year-old Caucasian male, was shot and killed while deer hunting with a group of companions. The tragic incident unfolded on a 400-acre property belonging to one of the hunting party members.
