On a Sunday night in Milwaukee, a dispute turned deadly, claiming the life of 19-year-old Gregory Jiles, a Black / African American male. The fatal encounter occurred around 10 p.m. on September 13, 2015, near the corner of 37th and Ruby Avenue. What began as a fight between Jiles and another individual escalated tragically when a third person unexpectedly intervened, firing a gun.
