Kendall Corder, 32, a Black male, was a six-year Milwaukee police veteran who was shot on the night of June 26, 2025, while responding with his partner to reports of a man firing a weapon near North 25th Street and West Garfield Avenue. As the officers moved into an alley off the 2200 block of North 24th Place, they were ambushed from the bushes and struck before they could return fire. Corder was rushed to Froedtert Hospital and died of his wounds three days later, on Sunday, June 29.
