Jenny Dawn Ward, a 36-year-old Caucasian female, had her life tragically cut short on July 30, 2016, in a violent encounter in her Eau Claire, Wisconsin, home. In the early morning hours, her neighbor, Shane Helmbrecht, broke into her residence and fatally shot her. Ward’s children were present in the home at the time of the incident and were able to provide an account of the harrowing events to law enforcement.
