In the summer of 2016, a weekend of violence in Milwaukee claimed the life of 23-year-old Quishawne Williams, a Black male. On Saturday, August 13, 2016, Williams was fatally wounded by gunfire in an incident that contributed to a string of homicides that shook the city.
