Andrea M. Brady, a 22-year-old resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, tragically lost her life on May 29, 2018. The incident occurred in the neighborhood near 27th and Roosevelt. According to reports, the fatal shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. when a ShotSpotter call indicated six rounds were fired in an alley near the location. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Andrea Brady sitting inside her car, having been struck by a bullet.

The investigation into Andrea Brady's death led to the arrest of Anthony Harvey, a 26-year-old Milwaukee man. Harvey was charged in connection with the fatal shooting. The criminal complaint revealed that the shooting was preceded by an argument involving a woman Harvey knew and other individuals at the scene. The woman had reportedly been spit on, pushed down, and hit with a bottle. Upon hearing about the incident, Harvey arrived at the location, and witnesses reported seeing him holding a handgun. Harvey allegedly raised the gun and fired four to five shots before fleeing the scene in an SUV.
During police questioning, Harvey initially denied being at the location of the shooting. However, when detectives informed him that his phone records would place him at the scene, his story changed, though he continued to deny being the shooter. Further evidence against Harvey included recorded jail calls in which he instructed an unknown male to take responsibility for the shooting. Harvey's criminal history also played a role in the investigation, as he had been convicted of possession of THC with intent to deliver earlier in 2018 and was on probation at the time of the shooting.
