In Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on the afternoon of March 2, 2019, a tragic event unfolded that cut short the life of 26-year-old Brooke Harris. A female, she had gone to a residence on Cherry Park Court to drop off her nine-month-old child with the baby's father, Clint Jorgensen, also 26. The two had been experiencing relationship problems and were living separately; Harris had been staying with family members.
An argument between the former couple escalated, leading to a fatal outcome.
Around 4 p.m., Jorgensen placed a 911 call requesting medical attention at the address. When Oshkosh police officers arrived, they heard a baby crying inside the home. Finding a door unlocked, they entered and discovered a harrowing scene. At the top of the stairs, they found Brooke Harris with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
Further inside the residence, authorities found Clint Jorgensen deceased from what was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A 9-millimeter handgun was found next to him. The investigation concluded that Jorgensen had shot Harris before taking his own life in a murder-suicide. It was later discovered that Jorgensen had recently purchased the firearm used in the incident.
The nine-month-old child of Harris and Jorgensen was found unharmed inside the home and was placed in the care of family members. The tragic event left a young child without a mother or a father.
