On a summer evening in Milwaukee, the life of Demond T. Higgins, a 26-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. On July 31, 2019, Higgins was inside a car on the city's north side when he was fatally shot. The incident prompted a homicide investigation by the Milwaukee police.
