On a Sunday evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the life of 29-year-old Black / African American female Tierra Winston was tragically cut short. On October 11, 2020, Winston and a friend were driving near 2nd and Clarke Street when another vehicle pulled up alongside them. A person emerged from that vehicle and unleashed a barrage of gunfire into the car Winston occupied. The violent assault caused their vehicle to crash into a nearby building.
