In the early morning hours of March 29, 2021, just two days before his 35th birthday, Richard Ricky Alva, a 34-year-old Hispanic male from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was fatally shot. The incident occurred shortly after 5:00 a.m. near the 2300 block of W. Scott Street on the city's south side. Richard, a father of six with another child on the way, was pronounced dead at the scene.
