In the quiet town of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, the life of Brian Scott Porsche, a 37-year-old Caucasian male, came to a tragic and violent end on March 30, 2021. He was found in his home on West Division Street, the victim of a single gunshot wound to the head. His death was quickly determined to be a homicide, launching an investigation that would unravel a story of a deadly plot.

Brian was known by friends and family as a carefree and kind-hearted man who would go out of his way to help anyone. He worked at his parents' business, the Stage Coach Bar & Grill in Chilton, and had a passion for raising cows. His sudden death left his family, including his daughter, parents, and siblings, grieving and searching for answers.

The investigation led police to two individuals, Dontae Payne and Tanya Stammer. According to the criminal complaint, the pair had targeted Porsche in what was described as an attempted drug robbery. It was alleged that Payne was the one who fired the fatal shot. In an attempt to cover their tracks, they tried to stage the scene to look like a robbery and discarded Porsche's phone and keys in Lake Winnebago.

Both Payne and Stammer were arrested and faced charges for their roles in the murder. Tanya Stammer was ultimately convicted of second-degree intentional homicide and sentenced to 23 years in prison. During her legal proceedings, her defense had planned to argue that she was a victim of human trafficking. Dontae Payne, facing a charge of first-degree intentional homicide, accepted a plea deal. He pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of second-degree intentional homicide and was convicted, facing a lengthy prison sentence for his part in the killing.
