Davonnie Turner Basey

On a spring evening in Milwaukee, the life of 17-year-old Davonnie Turner Basey, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. On April 18, 2021, while walking down the 4700 block of Center Street, the young father found himself in the midst of a violent exchange. Occupants of cars nearby had begun shooting at each other, and in a cruel twist of fate, Davonnie was caught in the crossfire. The gunfire that erupted on that street claimed his life, and he died at the scene.
