In the early morning hours of a violent weekend in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a 31-year-old Black/African American woman named Joanna Jovan Morrison was shot and killed. The tragic event occurred on September 24, 2022, near the 3700 block of W. Galena Street. Her death was one of several homicides that took place in the city during that period.
