Charles M. Burkybile

Native American male Charles M. Burkybile, age 32, was shot and killed at his home in Harrah, near Toppenish, Washington, on January 25, 2014, during an attempted home invasion. The incident unfolded when four men arrived at his residence with the intent to commit a robbery. Burkybile was shot through the door of his home as he tried to prevent the intruders from entering. He succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest while being transported to a nearby hospital.
