In a tragic turn of events stemming from a love triangle, 41-year-old Hispanic male Romeo Machuca lost his life on November 11, 2014. The fatal encounter unfolded at an RV park in South Prairie, Washington, where Machuca, a resident of Buckley, was fatally shot.
The perpetrator was identified as 39-year-old Alejandro Vazquez-Quezada, also a Buckley resident. Authorities from the Pierce County Sheriff's department reported that Vazquez-Quezada shot Machuca before turning the gun on himself in a clear case of homicide-suicide. The motive behind the tragic event was determined to be an affair between Machuca and Vazquez-Quezada's wife.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office officially confirmed the identities of both men involved. The investigation concluded that Vazquez-Quezada was the sole person responsible for Machuca's death, and with the suspect also deceased, there were no further arrests to be made in the case. No other individuals were harmed during the incident.
