Jahleel A. Munnings, a 17-year-old from Quincy, Washington, tragically lost his life on February 25, 2017. On that day, Munnings and his friend, Luis Nava Trujillo, were shot in Quincy. While Trujillo survived with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, Munnings was fatally shot in the face and died instantly. The incident left the community in shock and led to an extensive investigation.
