In the spring of 2017, the life of a young Hispanic woman was tragically cut short in Yakima, Washington. Sofia China Ramirez, an 18-year-old female, had recently returned to her hometown to be closer to her large, close-knit family after spending the previous year living with an older sister in Wasco, California.
