In the summer of 2019, a tragic and senseless act of violence cut short the life of Misty Hirsch, a 38-year-old woman of Blackfeet and Salish heritage. On July 7, in Mead, Washington, what began as a dispute over a stolen purse escalated into a fatal drive-by shooting that left a community in shock and a family mourning the loss of a mother, daughter, and sister.
