In the autumn of 2019, the life of a 42-year-old Hispanic man, Leopoldo Nunez Parra, was brought to a violent and sudden end. On the evening of October 9th, in Wallula, Washington, what began as a workday dispute between coworkers escalated into a fatal encounter inside the cab of a Ford F-550 truck. Nunez Parra, a farm laborer from Pasco, found himself in a deadly confrontation with his colleague, Edgar Chavez Beltran.
