In the quiet community of Fox Island, Washington, the life of 48-year-old LeAnn Michele Cranston, a Caucasian female, came to a tragic end on the evening of Sunday, November 17, 2019. The events of that day unfolded in a harrowing sequence, culminating in a panicked 911 call and the sound of gunshots that shattered the neighborhood's tranquility.
LeAnn and her husband, 57-year-old William Christopher Cranston, had a relationship marked by turbulence.
Court records indicate a history of marital strife, with the couple having filed for divorce on two separate occasions. Their first filing was in September 2018, which they later retracted with a joint notice of reconciliation in March of the following year, expressing a desire to give their marriage another chance. Despite their attempts, which included counseling, the reconciliation was short-lived, and they filed for divorce again just two months before the fatal incident.
On that November evening, at approximately 5 p.m., LeAnn made a desperate call to 911 to report that her husband was armed. In the midst of that call, the dispatchers heard the chilling sound of several gunshots. By the time Pierce County sheriff's deputies arrived at their home in the 1100 block of Queets Place, they discovered a grim scene. LeAnn was found deceased outside the residence from multiple gunshot wounds.
