In the autumn of 1989, a tragic event unfolded in the rural landscape of London, Kentucky, forever altering the lives of several families. Kimberly Kay Barnes Bowersock, a 21-year-old woman, traveled from her home in Ohio to Kentucky with a friend, Lillian Contino. Their plan was to pick up another friend, Calvin Reynolds, and was accompanied by Jerry McMillen who provided the transportation.
