In the winter of 2012, a promising young life was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. Eston Graver, a 21-year-old male, was fatally shot on December 29th in an apartment building on Kingston Avenue. Graver, who had just turned 21 that month, was with a friend at the time of the incident.

Authorities reported that Graver and his friend were led into the Kingston Apartments by Yasmani Rivera-Amoros and an accomplice. The perpetrators then demanded Graver's money and car keys. When Graver refused to comply with their demands, he and his friend were both shot. Graver succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while his friend was seriously wounded and hospitalized. His family believes he may have been lured to the location.

In the wake of the shooting, Yasmani Rivera-Amoros was arrested and charged with the murder of Eston Graver. Family and friends mourned the loss of a man they described as a loving son with a beautiful heart. Graver was engaged to be married and had plans to attend Jefferson Community and Technical College to study business. His death left a void in the lives of his parents, older brother, fiancée, and a wide circle of family and friends who remembered him as an incredible person who was loved by all who knew him.
