In the late hours of a Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of 49-year-old Lloyd Jones was brought to a violent and tragic end. On January 2, 2016, police in the suburban city of Shively were dispatched to an apartment building on Chester Road, near the bustling Dixie Highway, following a report of gunfire. A neighbor, alerted by the sound of gunshots, noticed that the door to one of the apartments was ajar and promptly contacted the authorities.
