On July 23, 2016, at approximately 2:58 a.m., the Kentucky State Police received a call from Bell County Dispatch reporting a shooting incident on Dorton Branch Road in the Pineville community of Bell County. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered 37-year-old Houston Ulyss Lankford of Fourmile, Kentucky, deceased from a gunshot wound.
