Keith Bonds, aged 26, was fatally shot on September 17, 2012, in Chicago. The incident took place in the Englewood neighborhood, an area of the city frequently impacted by gang activity and violence. Bonds, also known as "KeKe," was reportedly killed in what authorities suspect to be a retaliation for the murder of Joseph Coleman, also known as Lil JoJo, which had occurred just weeks earlier on September 4, 2012.
