In the small town of Scottsville, Kentucky, the life of 20-year-old Kaylah Hodges was tragically cut short on the evening of October 3, 2016. A single gunshot wound to her back, fired from a rifle, ended a life that had just begun to blossom with the birth of her seven-month-old daughter. The man responsible was the child's father, 23-year-old Ethan Reid, with whom Hodges had shared a tumultuous on-and-off relationship.
