In the quiet town of Scottsville, Kentucky, the life of 21-year-old Alyssia M. Rodriguez was tragically cut short on a Saturday night in March of 2019. On the evening of March 16th, an unimaginable horror unfolded within the walls of her own home. It was approximately 10:30 p.m. when one or more unknown individuals forced their way into the residence she shared with Charles Hopewell.
The intruders, armed with a firearm, shattered the peace of the night by opening fire on the occupants.
During the violent home invasion, Alyssia was struck in the head by a bullet. She was rushed to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, but her injuries proved to be too severe. The following morning, on Sunday, March 17, 2019, Alyssia M. The case has left a community in mourning and a family searching for answers, while the perpetrators of this violent crime remain at large.
