In the small town of Pleasureville, Kentucky, a quiet Monday afternoon was shattered by an act of violence that would end the life of a young man. On January 9, 2017, at an apartment building in the 1000 block of Main Street, 23-year-old Zachary Fluhr was fatally shot. The incident, which occurred around 5 p.m., stemmed from an argument between Fluhr and another young man.
The tranquility of the neighborhood, which straddles the Henry and Shelby County lines, was broken when a call was
made to the Kentucky State Police reporting that someone had been shot. In a surprising turn of events, the call was placed by the individual who had pulled the trigger, 22-year-old Randall Carman. When authorities arrived at the scene, they discovered Fluhr had succumbed to his injuries.
Carman was taken into custody that same evening and subsequently charged with murder. While the specific details of what led to the fatal confrontation remain part of the ongoing investigation, authorities have indicated that Carman has been cooperating with them.
