In the quiet community of Pikeville, Kentucky, the life of 48-year-old Greg Brewer, a male, was cut short on September 10, 2017. His body was discovered along Collins Highway, leading to a swift investigation by the Kentucky State Police. The authorities determined that Brewer had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The investigation quickly focused on a member of his own family. Greg's brother, Harold David Brewer, who was 37 at the time, was arrested in connection with the death. According to police reports, Harold Brewer intentionally shot his brother. It is alleged that after the shooting, he moved his brother's body to the side of the highway where it was later found.
Harold Brewer faced a series of serious charges, including murder, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He was also charged with having a prescription not in its proper container, as he was reportedly found with antidepressants that were not in their original bottle when police arrived at his residence after receiving a tip about a body in his yard. He was subsequently held in the Pike County Detention Center.
