In the quiet community near Hudson, Kentucky, a domestic disturbance escalated into a tragic and fatal series of events, leaving two men dead and a family irrevocably altered. Jeffery Allen Moore, a 55-year-old male, was killed on December 19, 2017, in a violent confrontation that unfolded in Breckinridge County. The incident, which took place at a residence on Centerview-Rough River Lane, stemmed from a domestic dispute involving Moore's estranged wife, Theresa Moore, and her live-in boyfriend, 60-year-old Donny Peek.
According to Kentucky State Police, Theresa Moore and Donny Peek were engaged in a heated argument when Jeffery Allen Moore was called to the home. Upon his arrival, a physical altercation broke out between Jeffery Moore and Peek in the driveway. The confrontation took a deadly turn when Peek fatally shot Jeffery Moore.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, Jeffery Moore's stepson, 28-year-old Jonathan Masterson, attempted to intervene and provide aid to Moore.
