In the early morning hours of May 7, 2018, the life of 54-year-old Dwight Wesley, a Caucasian male from Bennington, Indiana, was tragically cut short in a violent encounter on a downtown street in Warsaw, Kentucky. Wesley, known by friends and family for his kind and helpful nature, had stopped to assist a stranger, 35-year-old Treigh Monroe of Louisville, who was experiencing car trouble. This act of kindness took a fatal turn, leading to a murder-suicide that ended both men's lives.
