In the early morning hours of a late June Saturday in Frankfort, Kentucky, the life of 41-year-old Dustin C. Northington was brought to an abrupt and violent end. The third-shift supervisor at a local Waffle House, who had also worked as a technical machine operator and a truck hand, was found shot to death near the Tractor Supply on Arrowhead Court on June 25, 2022.
The events leading to the discovery of Northington's body began with a startling 911 call at 1:15 a.m.
The caller, a man located at the Montaplast facility on Hoover Boulevard, made a chilling confession to the dispatcher: 'he thinks he killed someone.' He went on to identify the victim as Northington, stating that he had shot him and left his body near the Tractor Supply.
In a perplexing twist, the caller also claimed that Northington had fired at him first and that he had attempted to give Northington money before the fatal encounter.
