In the early morning hours of December 8, 2019, a dispute between friends in Mayfield, Kentucky, ended in tragedy. Reggie Dowell, a 35-year-old male, was a passenger in a car with his friend, Charles Holloway, when an argument broke out between them. The disagreement escalated, and Holloway allegedly shot Dowell twice.
