In the early afternoon of a December day in Murray, Kentucky, the sound of a gunshot shattered the quiet. On December 21, 2020, deputies from the Calloway County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival at approximately 12:30 p.m., they discovered 53-year-old Luis A. Mancilla Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound. He was a Black / African American male.
