On a tragic day in Glasgow, Kentucky, the lives of David Allen Pace, a 24-year-old male, and his wife, Brittany Pace, were cut short. On September 2, 2021, the couple was found fatally shot in their residence on North Race Street, a home they shared with David's brother. The devastating event left their two young children, who were present at the time of the shooting, without their parents.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths quickly unfolded when the perpetrator himself made a call
to 911 to report the killings. The suspect was identified as David's brother, Cody N. Bacon. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, Bacon was found on the sidewalk outside the home and was taken into custody.
During the investigation, Bacon confessed to the crime, revealing his motive to police. He stated that he was tired of his brother and sister-in-law's arguments with their children. In a chilling admission, he recounted how he had emptied a 9mm handgun on the couple while their children stood behind him. Bacon was subsequently indicted on two counts of murder and first-degree wanton endangerment.
