In the fall of 2021, a dispute in the east end of Maysville, Kentucky, tragically cut short the life of 34-year-old Russell Chandler Jr. On a Friday afternoon, November 5th, an argument on Buckner Street escalated, leading to Chandler being shot. The bullet struck him in the arm before traveling into his abdomen, leaving him with critical injuries. He was initially rushed to Meadowview Regional Medical Center and subsequently airlifted to UC Hospital in Cincinnati for more intensive care.
