On May 16, 2012, Lora Ann Wright, aged 45, was tragically shot to death by her husband, Sammie Wright, in the front yard of their home in Saint Anthony, Minnesota. The incident occurred after friends had confronted Lora about being in an abusive relationship. Sammie Wright, aged 52, then turned the gun on himself, resulting in a murder-suicide.
