On a late summer afternoon in Rochester, Minnesota, the sound of gunshots shattered the peace at the Parkside Mobile Home Park on August 31, 2015. When the chaos subsided, 22-year-old Trumane Lamar Gillmore, a Black male, lay dead on a basketball court. The incident, which unfolded around 2:15 p.m., also left two other young men injured. Demonterious Davonte Jackson, 20, was shot in the leg, and 18-year-old Jerome Richard Zachary was grazed by a bullet. The shooting occurred in broad daylight, w ...
