Barbara Ann Wilson, aged 54, was found dead on April 28, 2016, in her home in Mankato, MN. The Mankato Department of Public Safety reported that the deaths of Barbara and her husband, Delbert Wilson, aged 56, were suspected to be a murder-suicide. Preliminary investigations indicated that Delbert Wilson shot Barbara before turning the gun on himself.
The couple was discovered by authorities on Thursday night.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension assisted in the investigation, and the bodies were subsequently taken to the Ramsey County medical examiner's office for autopsies. The Wilsons had been married for about a year at the time of their deaths.
No arrests were made as the incident was determined to be a murder-suicide, with Delbert Wilson identified as the sole suspect in the case. The investigation concluded that there were no other suspects involved in the tragic event.
