Justin D.J. Anderson, aged 34, from Hastings, MN, tragically passed away on August 15, 2016. Born on September 5, 1981, in Grand Forks, ND, Justin was a member of Local No. 34 for 11 years. His death was a result of a murder-suicide incident involving his girlfriend, Danielle Aimee Denney, aged 29. According to reports, Justin fatally shot Danielle before turning the gun on himself.
Both individuals died from gunshot wounds to the head.
The bodies of Justin and Danielle were discovered by a relative at their shared residence. The police confirmed that the couple had been living together at the time of the incident. The medical examiner's report indicated that Justin was the perpetrator of the shooting, and no other suspects were involved in the case.
The community of Hastings was deeply affected by the tragic event, and memorial services were held to honor Justin's memory. Visitation took place on August 21, 2016, at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, followed by a service on August 22, 2016, at Christ's Family Church in Hastings.
