On July 17, 2017, the body of 17-year-old Mohanned Abdul Hafiz Abukhdeir was discovered along the roadside in Fridley, a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The discovery was made in the early hours of the morning, around 1 a.m., near the 7600 block of Meadowmoor Drive. Mohanned had been shot, and his body was found just half a block from his home, where he lived with his family.
